Hi! My name is Elizabeth.

Lizz for short.

(Absolutely not Lizzy. Or Beth.)

(Maybe someday Betty...)

Somehow, I have already been running down my dreams for TEN years.

I could've sworn I just graduated college.

Last seen on the 2nd National Tour of ANASTASIA as a Swing.

Next seen... well.

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Keep scrolling for the full story...

So far.

The Story... so far.

Turns out, chasing your dreams allows you to be privy to some hella cool experiences.

Whenever you have the time, please feel free tattend the tale of Lizz Ritacco traversing the wild and whacky wilderness of the ~*biz*~.

Here's the highlight reel:

Really, what you need to know about me is that I was, for a time, raised exclusively by Disney movies. Which means my brain is approximately 98% full of absolutely useless Disney information. Unless it's trivia night at the brewery, in which case, I will annihilate anyone else in attendance.

But this also imbued me with an inextricable desire to tell stories. For a short while, I am unashamed to say, I was one of those fanfic writing girlies. My adolescence/the early 2000s were a... time.

And then I found musical theatre!

(Cue the exasperated groans in the distance...)

And the rest is history. So far.

I'm a Jersey Girl, born and bred. Fortunately for me, the great Garden State has single-handedly provided me with a literal stairway to musical theatre heaven. Without even leaving Jersey, I've been fortunate enough to work with so many for real Broadway legends. Here's a few of them:

So, to say I've been lucky is a colossal understatement.

Outside of my beloved state, I have made theatre magic with some serious dream teams. I did a whirlwind workshop of A Crossing at the Ailey Studios (just before the big C hit) with genius 1, Joshua Bergasse, and genius 2, Zoe Sarnak. And I can finally say I've made it among the ranks of legends to have performed at 54 Below!

But, what really and truly takes the cake, was that time I did the Anastasia national tour.

Sheeeesh. 1,000/10 changed my brain chemistry. Changed my work ethic. Changed the way I approach relationships. Changed it all. I'm excited for the day when something comes along to exceed the height of the bar that this show set for me.

Since then, I've been doing a lot of internal heavy lifting. (What was it Pasek and Paul said? "So I have healed and I have grown... At some point I guess you have to.")

Like I said. Tour changed everything. So it was high time for me to figure out who I am now.

Like a good little nerd, I've started playing Dungeons and Dragons (which I did not do in high school because "No sorry, I can't. I have rehearsal.") which has effectively altered the way I now approach improv. A friend of mine describes it as "improv chess". Another friend describes it as "collaborative storytelling". I think it's the shit, honestly.

And, that's what I've got! So far, anyway.

I'll keep you posted.

Talk soon?
